Rachel originally moved to Pittsburgh in 2016 to pursue her PhD. She has always loved music and while doing her PhD, she got introduced to the world of music photography. After trying it out, she started fell in love with it and picked up music photography to give herself a creative outlet and a challenge completely unrelated to her work.

Abby McNatt

Abby was born in and has been a Pittsburgher her entire life. She has been pursuing concert photography since 2015 and has had the opportunity to shoot a number of large bands such as 5 Seconds of Summer (her favorite), A Day to Remember and State Champs, just to name a few. She also shoots for local bands on a regular basis. Music has been a large part of her life and being able to capture the feeling of being at a live show is her favorite part. When she isn’t at a show, she’s utilizing her photography skills with her three cats or volunteering at a local animal shelter!

Madalyn Schaller

Madalyn is from a town near Pittsburgh who loves to visit the city and travel for shows. In 2019, they began to pick up interest in concert photography, but took a break while studying abroad. When concerts started to pick back up in 2021, they really got into the photography point of view for shows. They always had some form of musical and photography influence in their life and decided to combine the two things they love most. Going to concerts is something they really enjoy doing, and getting the opportunity to capture such a special moment makes it even more memorable to them.

She is now a Sophomore at Robert Morris University studying Public Relations and Advertising with the hopes of getting involved in the music industry! She started college as a music business major with the intentions of working with local studios to find new/undiscovered musicians, but eventually graduated with a marketing degree instead. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love with the industry. He then branched off into marketing and his newest venture, concert photography. Emily has always called Pittsburgh home. She graduated with a degree in multimedia, but wasn’t sure exactly what she route she wanted to take with it. In between jobs, she decided to pursue a longtime interest in concert photography by reaching out to an old friend in a local band to shoot their show. Emily has always felt a deep connection to live music and tried to capture the feeling of those moments through photos she’d take on her phone since her first concert in 2013. Getting to do that same thing now on a more professional level is a dream her younger self yearned for, but couldn’t possibly have imagined becoming reality back then.
